Elizabeth is a PhD qualified scientist with extensive experience in marketing and public relations campaigns that engage with research scientists and industry decision makers through to end-user consumers and the general public. She has pitched and delivered several articles to the pharmaceutical trade press, writing for various publications including Drug Discovery & Development, Genetic Engineering News, European Biopharmaceutical Review, World Pharmaceutical Frontiers, Applied Clinical Trials and Pharmaceutical Technology Europe. Elizabeth has also managed projects focusing on the UK female consumer market, securing coverage in several high profile titles including OK!, Now, Cosmopolitan and Star magazines.
Prior to forming SciForte PR in 2012, Elizabeth spent over five years at Simcyp Limited, one of the UK’s most successful university spinouts which exited in a $32 million trade sale to US-based Certara. Primarily responsible for external media and marketing communications, Elizabeth’s role in this fast-growing scientific software company also extended from business-related research and technical copyediting, through to co-ordinating the agenda, wish list and voting process for the Simcyp Consortium Meeting – an annual event bringing together world-leading pharmaceutical clients to determine the company’s ongoing R&D priorities.
Through SciForte, Elizabeth now works predominantly with small biotechs, developing PR and marketing strategies that fit with overall business development objectives as well as delivering on individual campaigns.
